KÜHNEZUG ROLLCOMPACT - The drive unit of the future

KÜHNEZUG - the story of a product that has been in production for over 3 decades and has already been delivered in more than 50 countries.

30 years ago, when KÜHNEZUG began to think about building drive units, they were already invented, but still there was a lot to improve.

It was easy to realise, that most customers require the advantages of a direct drive unit. Why an open gear box when a closed construction proves to be better? Having this idea, the KÜHNEZUG - Engineers set out to create their own drive unit - the KÜHNEZUG ROLLCOMPACT with the following aspects:

Gears, wheels motors and brakes are mounted in a single and compact unit. This evades the use of for example flanges, which reduces costly maintenance and downtime.

 KÜHNEZUG was inspired by the car industry, where the best possible technical solution for safe and reliable brakes could be found. Consequently the KÜHNEZUG ROLLCOMPACT was equipped with spring operated DC disc brakes that allow 1 million operations without adjustments.

Our helical gears are only used in combination with high quality grease. 

The electronic control system, developed by KÜHNEZUG achieves step less speed control and smooth transport.
To increase the capacity, independent modules can be replaced and your investment stays up to date.

Highly densified polyamid wheels are standard since 1968 in our KÜHNEZUG-ROLLCOMPACT drive units. The friction is increased fourfold, which prevents the wheels from slipping on the steel rail.

SOFTSTART MOTORS are equipped with the special, smooth running "Ugal" rotors. Drive motors are constructed with special "Ugal" rotors for smooth driving characteristic. For heavy duty and smooth operation we provide electronic speed control of the motors that enable the plastic wheels to run softly. " Enjoy the silence ".
